  • Be a Parish representative

Be a Parish representative

Our parish representatives are part of a vital network of people around the UK helping to raise awareness of our mission to help suffering Christians.

Why not join our team and help us share challenging and inspirational stories form the persecuted Church?

What will I do as a parish representative?

Our parish representatives help promote our work and tell their local community about our mission.

This could involve distributing our reports, prayer cards, fundraising materials and catalogues in your parish. Or perhaps you might arrange for one of our area secretaries to visit your church to speak about our work.

You may even like to involve your parish in our prayer campaigns or fundraise to support our projects.

Here are some ideas of how you can help promote our work in your parish:

  • Join in our prayer campaigns in your parish prayer group, or by including persecuted and suffering Christians in the bidding prayers at Mass
  • Ask your priest or parish committee to consider donating money raised from events such as Christmas or Summer fairs
  • Organise your own fundraising events
  • Distribute our trading catalogues, which contain our great range of cards and gifts
  • Take a small range of our cards and gifts for sale in your parish on a sale-or-return basis

Our commitment to our volunteers

Our written Volunteer Arrangement sets out our responsibilities to you as a volunteer, and yours to us. We also adhere to an Equality and Diversity Statement and Policy.

We do not require a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure for our parish representatives, but we will usually ask that you obtain the agreement of your parish priest.

After a reasonable period of volunteering, we are happy to provide you with a reference confirming your role, for your CV or as evidence of Church-related activity for school applications.

How to become a parish representative

If you would like to become a Parish Representative, please first ask permission from your parish priest and then write to:
