Raising Awareness

Part of our mission is to be a voice for persecuted Christians - to tell their stories of faith and courage and to call for prayer and justice on their behalf.

Reports about the persecution of Christians rarely make the headlines. Yet the individual voices of the suffering Church are compelling, courageous and often inspirational.

As well as raising awareness of the plight of suffering Christians through our network of Area Secretaries and volunteer Parish Representatives, we also carry out a range of advocacy work.

For many journalists and researchers, we are a key source of up-to-date and trustworthy information on the persecution of Christians. Our press office issues regular news bulletins to the UK and international news agencies as well as other subscribers.

We produce regular reports focusing on the situation faced by Christians in a particular country or region. The reports comprise first-hand testimonies garnered from our international network of staff and contacts.

Every two years we publish ‘Persecuted and Forgotten? – A Report on Christians oppressed for their faith’. This report highlights countries where persecution of Christians is worst, and collates incidents of persecution from across the Christian spectrum. Internationally we also publish a Religious Freedom Report, which assesses religious freedom rights abuses across all mainstream religions worldwide.

We arrange a number of information and awareness-raising events around the country, to which we invite important guests from the persecuted Church – giving them an opportunity to provide an authentic testimony from their country to supporters, as well as to parliamentary information meetings, press conferences and other key audiences.

As well as our regular enewsletter to our subscribers, we have a growing presence on Facebook and Twitter. Why not follow us and share our message through your networks?
