Why not consider hosting this touring exhibition and raising funds for the children of Syria?

Syria’s Children Search for Peace is an exhibition of drawings created by Syrian children as part of a peace initiative by ACN project partners.

In 2016 over one million Syrian children of all faiths signed a petition urging the West to support lasting peace in their country.

The young people also were given the chance to draw a picture illustrating their love for their country or their daily experience of life in war-torn Syria.

Many of the pictures included messages such as ‘We want peace’, ‘Give us our childhood’ and ‘We want to go to school’.

Both their petition and drawings were presented to the United Nations and the European Union on the International Day of the Child 2016.

There are sets of drawings appropriate for older and younger children and the exhibition is very flexible–you can make it work in whatever space you have available. Classroom and devotional resources will accompany the exhibition.

In return for one week at your school, we are asking for a donation of around £1 per pupil–maybe in the form of a non-uniform day? Just £5 will support a family in Syria for a whole day.

How many days could your school fund?

This exhibition will tour North West England and North Wales throughout 2018. Slots are filling up – book early to avoid disappointment!
