Support Sisters’ vital mission work
Religious Sisters are present in all conflict-ridden parts of the world, never abandoning those relying on their support even when their own lives are in danger. In countries like Liberia, Burkina Faso, India, Lebanon and Ukraine, Sisters care for orphans, the elderly and displaced people, offering food, shelter, education and spiritual care.
Many of these Sisters are struggling with their own health, often made worse by the trauma of war and conflict. Sister Maya El Beaino of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in war-torn South Lebanon considers it her congregation’s mission “to go to the peripheries and accompany those in need of help”, despite the risks.
Thanks to your generosity, ACN is providing vital support to ensure Sisters around the world can stay strong and well, so they can continue to minister to those relying on them for basic essentials and pastoral care.
Message inside the card: I have given a Christmas Gift of Faith to Aid to the Church in Need on your behalf, to support religious Sisters, as they offer hospitality, shelter and prayers for those in desperate need.
