Courtauld Gallery Private Tour

Venue: The Courtauld Gallery, Somerset House Strand, London WC2R 1LA

Join us at The Courtauld Gallery on Thursday, 19th March 2026 for a rare opportunity to rediscover and contemplate the spiritual essence of the Gallery’s Early Renaissance altarpieces.

We have been granted exclusive access ahead of the public opening, with the Director of the Courtauld personally welcoming us. Art historian Maria Cristina White‑da Cruz has curated this private hour on behalf of Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), enabling us to appreciate these works within the context of their original devotional purpose.

Throughout our visit, we will also pray for one another’s intentions and for our fellow Christians living in conflict zones in the Holy Land. The event supports ACN’s Appeal for the Holy Land, and a suggested minimum donation of £100 per person would be greatly appreciated.

  • 8:00 - Coffee and chats at the WaterHouse
  • 8:15 - Welcome from Maria Cristina and introduction to The Courtauld Gallery. Caroline will speak on ACN’s work and the latest situation in the Holy Land
  • 8:30 - Meeting outside The Courtauld Gallery
  • 9:00 - Prayers in the Early Renaissance Gallery
  • 10:00 - Enjoy the gallery at your leisure. Speak with ACN representatives. (You are warmly invited to continue exploring the Gallery at your leisure after 10:00 am.)
