In this year of hope as proclaimed by Pope Francis, the war in the Holy Land has claimed thousands of lives, with the conflict which has now spilled over with 1.3 million people displaced in Lebanon.
Meanwhile in Syria, 6.2 million people internally displaced. Widespread poverty has led the people to become dependent on humanitarian aid for their survival.

What is ACN doing to help?
Throughout Syria and Lebanon, ACN is working with Church partners on the ground to provide the help to those that need it, not just in aid but in long term programs and pastoral support.

- Emergency aid such as food, medicine, clothing and other basic necessities for displaced Christians.
- Trauma counselling, summer camps and other pastoral activities for children distressed by the horrors of war.
- Formation support for seminarians and religious novices.
- Solar panels for Church buildings to reduce soaring energy costs
