A Cry from the Holy Land

Help Christian families remain in the land where Christ walked

“Growing up as a Christian in Galilee is really special... I walk the same roads and hills Jesus walked. It is not history, it’s my life.”

—Marianne, a Christian from Galilee, Holy Land

Today, the ancient Christian community of the Holy Land — rooted in the very places where Our Lord lived, taught, died and rose again — is facing unprecedented hardship.

Christian families have carried the faith for over 2000 years, but today, war, economic collapse, displacement, and fear are threatening their ability to stay in their biblical homeland.

Your generosity has already brought food, medicine, pastoral care and psychological support to vulnerable Christians across the region. But the needs continue to grow — and they are turning to you for help once more.

Will you offer them a lifeline today?
Yes, I'll help today

What you need to know

The situation in the Holy Land

The Holy Land, whilst it has the roots of Christianity steeped deep in the region, the modern reality tells a story of misery and hardship for the Christians who live there today.

  • The Christian population in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ, continues to fall, from 85% in the mid-20th century to less than 10% today.
  • Healthcare crisis with Christian hospitals and clinics reporting shortages of medicine, clean water, and electricity in Gaza and the West Bank.
  • 48% of Christian youth in the Holy Land are considering emigration, citing fear, discrimination, and lack of opportunity and a future in the Holy Land.

His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa sends his heartfelt gratitude to ACN benefactors

Thousands have lost their livelihoods… They are courageous in their faith, but their struggles are great. Your prayers and support unite us in our desire to keep the Faith alive in the places where Our Lord lived and gave His life for us.

Your generosity will give urgent assistance to Christian families in Jerusalem, the West Bank, northern Israel, and Jordan. A gift today will provide immediate relief as well as offer support to long-term projects so that Christian families may continue to remain in the homeland.
