Christians in the Arab World

Date: Monday 28th November 2022

Time: 6.30pm-8pm

Venue: Waldegrave Drawing Room, St Mary’s University Twickenham London

St. Mary’s University will be hosting Dr Caroline Hull, National Director of Aid to the Church in Need, who will deliver a public lecture on “Christians in the Arab World”.

Caroline will examine the challenges of life for many Christians who face violence and persecution in so many countries today.

She will also discuss some of the many examples – both currently and historically – of collaboration between people of the Christian and Muslim faiths, acts of respect and compassion offering hope for a brighter future.

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and will close with brief remarks from Professor Mohammed Abdel-Haq of the University of Bolton.

The evening promises to be both rich and enlightening, both for its intellectual content, but also for its practical lessons for harmonious inter-faith relations at a time when there is so much persecution of Christians in so many parts of the world.

A drinks reception will follow the formal part of the evening.

This event is free but ticketed. Please use the booking link.
