The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church therefore their martyrdom will no doubt bear fruit for the Church. Praise be to God. Let us pray too for their families and friends who are left behind that God may give them strength.

To the people of Sri Lanka from the people of St Anne's, Winlaton and St Joseph's, Blaydon, United Kingdom. May the people of this country who have suffered their own "Good Friday" find the hope and peace of the Resurrection.

In thanksgiving for the lives of those martyrs who were taken to meet the Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Day; may their prayers bring healing, peace and forgiveness to our world.

Praying for the people of Sri Lanka to ease their suffering and end the conflict. May there be peace between all the people and God's Kingdom reign.
