Holy Land

Right now, the faithful in the Holy Land are struggling to keep the faith alive in the birthplace of Christianity. The conflict in Gaza has resulted in a humanitarian and economic crisis, causing much pain and suffering to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The tourism sector – which accounts for the majority of jobs for Christians in the region – no longer exists. Cancelled pilgrimages have left 72 percent of Christian tourism workers in poverty, struggling to survive.

Since the conflict started in October 2023, ACN has stepped up its support for the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem providing food, medicine and trauma counselling. Your love and support have been received and felt by many.

As the crisis continues, so many of the faithful in the Holy Land are relying on us for urgent aid, so we ask for your continued help. Together, we can shine the light of Christ’s love in dark places of despair.

Bishop William Shomali from the Holy Land has reached out to ACN benefactors, asking for their support. Bishop Shomali highlighted the urgent issues facing Christians in the Holy Land, such as overwhelmed healthcare facilities due to a shortage of medical supplies and personnel,, as well as a lack of clean water and electricity. You can help provide them with desperately needed medicine, food parcels and job creation programmes.
