Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots

The Holy Father, Pope Francis, in his address to the faithful on Marian Day, wrote:

When children disobey their parents, we can say that a little “knot” is created. Something of the same sort happens in our relationship with God. These knots take away our peace and serenity. They are dangerous since many knots can form a tangle which gets more and more painful and difficult to undo.

But we know one thing: nothing is impossible for God’s mercy! Even the most tangled knots are loosened by his grace. And Mary, whose “yes” opened the door for God to undo the knot of the ancient disobedience, is the Mother who patiently and lovingly brings us to God, so that he can untangle the knots of our soul by his fatherly mercy.

His Grace, Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme of Maiduguri, Nigeria in his foreword to the Religious Freedom in the World Report 2023 – Africa Update, writes about God’s infinite mercy and the role of Mary, Our Mother, in leading us to Divine Mercy when he wrote:

Prayer has turned the tide against the terrorists in the north-east, and since Maiduguri Diocese began her Rosary campaign in 2013, thousands of terrorists have surrendered their weapons and many of the displaced people have returned to their homes. This is why in May 2023, I gathered with my brother bishops and thousands of the faithful to once again re-consecrate Maiduguri Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is because it is only through prayer that we will win the war we are fighting.
