Red Wednesday Primary School Resources
Thank you for choosing to support our #RedWednesday campaign this year!
This year, we are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with The Mark 10 Mission* to bring you these resources for #RedWednesday.
Using the ‘prayer-reflection-gather-respond’ approach and powerfully linked to the life of St Maximilian Kolbe, the animated presentation below, provides a summary of the work of ACN, Christian persecution, information about #RedWednesday and an invitation to respond by taking part.
Please find the accompanying notes here for this assembly here.
The Mark 10 Mission (www.themark10mission.co.uk) have recorded two #RedWednesday Liturgies for you to use in your schools with this presentation on or in the lead up to #RedWednesday. One is more suitable for younger children, the other more suitable for slightly older children.
The presentation above and the liturgy have been planned together. The liturgy is centred on the Gospel (John 15) from the Feast of St Maximilian Kolbe and also presents some of St. Maximilian’s story. This is linked to the fact that people are still suffering for the faith today and the ‘Mission’ is going to Mass for a persecuted Christian.
#RedWednesday Novena for Primary Schools
A #RedWednesday Novena for Primary Schools is also available. Join us in prayer beginning Friday 11th November for the nine school days up to #RedWednesday. Each day focusses on a different country with a short scriptural passage, a mini-reflection and a special prayer.
Please find the Red Wednesday Novena Google Slides Presentation here.
